Finally got this bolted onto my '86 Monte Carlo and the low-end torque feels noticeably stronger pulling away from a stop. The exhaust note has that clean, aggressive bark without any annoying drone on the highway.

The deep, mellow rumble at idle is exactly what I wanted for my 5.0L, and the polished tip looks great under the bumper. Fitment was perfect with no cutting needed, though the clamps could be a bit beefier.

Installed this on my '86 Monte Carlo and the 409 stainless steel tips really polished up the rear end. The tone is noticeable but not obnoxious on the highway, just how I wanted it.
