Smog test passed with no issues after I swapped out the old clogged one—the universal design saved me from having to cut or weld the exhaust mounts. Feels solid, and the honeycomb structure seems thicker than the cheap replacement I tried last time.

The weld-in install took a couple hours, but the universal fit was forgiving enough that I didn’t need extra pipe work, and my CEL stayed off through the first 200 miles of mixed driving. Solid, quiet idle with no drone—exactly what I hoped for on a budget swap.

I was a little nervous about welding this in myself, but the stainless steel construction feels solid and the universal fit lined up perfectly with my exhaust hangers. After installation, my check engine light stayed off and the car passed smog with no issues.
